Romantic Poets:

Romantic poetry is a genre that can be defined as work including the imagination and emotions of the author in response to the world around them and is in direct contrast to the objectivity portrayed in neoclassical and classical forms. In Britain William Wordsworth and Samuel Taylor Coleridge are widely credited with starting the trend closely followed by a younger generation such as Lord Byron, Percy Bysshe Shelley and John Keats. However many countries have had periods and poets which could be called Romantic.
