Romantic Artists

Romanticism as an art movement meant that the artist was allowed to give full vent to their emotions rather than choose themes of subjects from traditional classical or religious models. They often contain scenes of beauty or horror and reduce any figures to become a part of the landscape and there is often an implicit story contained within the picture or sculpture.
